During this time, the British governments invited and encouraged people from commonwealth countries in the Caribbean to move to Britain to fill the labour shortages that existed during that period. Seeking new opportunities, they aided in the rebuilding of British society, contributing to pivitol changes in culture, socio-political movements and the development of the contemporary workforce. Today, we aim to examine the unequivocal importance of the Windrush generation and the lasting legacy that they have left behind.
